Kathi,
Thanks for getting in touch concerning the Lion Safari LT Generator. In order to be compatible, any other solar panel will need to be a 12 Volt panel, and will have to have an Anderson Powerpole connector ( pictured below ).

can this generator power a full size refrigerator or washing machine. Also, my dad is on full time oxygen, would this power that as well.

Kim,
Thank you for your question. Following from manufacturer:

The Lion Safari LT is capable of providing up to 500 Watts of power(combined) through its AC Output plugs, meaning the Safari LT can power any device, or combination of devices, that use 500 Watts or less.

Concerning Power:
In order to answer whether or not the Safari LT could power a specific refrigerator, washing machine, or oxygen generator, the customer would need to know exactly how many Watts the devices uses. For example, refrigerators and washing machines don’t always use a constant amount of power. If your refrigerator is already cold, it doesn’t need to run as often to cool down the food and it uses less power. However, when it does need to run, the compressor turns on and it uses a lot of power for a short time, until cool. With devices that cycle power, it’s important to find out the maximum power they will use. As long as they use less than 500 Watts, then yes, the Safari LT will be able to power them.

Concerning Length of Time:
When trying to determine how long the Safari LT can power your devices, again it’s needed to know how much power the device needs. With that information, it’s a straightforward calculation to figure out how long it will run.
The battery in the Safari LT can hold 450 Watt/Hours when it is fully charged. To find out how long your device will last, divide the available 450 Watt/Hours by how much power your device uses. For example – a lamp using 50 Watts will run for 9 hours non-stop( 450 divided by 50 = 9 ). Or, if you have a newer, super-efficient light bulb using only 5 Watts, it would last for 90 hours ( 450 divided by 5 = 90 ).
